Promoting himself for months as the version of “Trump in heels” was of little use to Mace, because when it came to offering his support to the candidate with the greatest arguments to obtain the Republican candidacy in search of becoming governor of South Carolina, the president of the nation opted for Pam Evette.

Apart from having decided to pause his ties with politics soon, Nancy Mace will be remembered for proposing a constitutional amendment that would prohibit naturalized people from serving in Congress.

“For too long we have allowed foreign-born members to occupy seats in this government, making it clear that for them the United States comes last, not first. We see it every day. This constitutional amendment will put an end to that,” he emphasized.
