Karen Bass leads primaries in Los Angeles while Raman approaches Pratt

Councilwoman Nithya Raman minimizes disadvantage over Spencer Prattwhile Karen Bass establishes herself at the forefront of the primaries for mayor of Los Angeles.

With the votes counting until this Saturday night, Pratt is in second place in the election, with 27%, while Raman is third, with 26%. The difference between the two is just 7,494 votes.

The mayor Karen Bass is in the lead in the elections, with 35% of the preliminary vote after counting 77% of the ballots.

According to the California primaries, the two candidates who obtain the highest number of votes, without having reached the 50% threshold, They advance to the November general elections.

According to preliminary results, Karen Bass has 235,180 votes, with Pratt in second place, with 184,596 votes, and Raman had 177,102 votes.

Karen Bass has 35% of the vote in the Los Angeles primary.

In the most recent vote count, which was delivered this Saturday, approximately 60,000 votes were addedand a percentage of them helped Raman get closer to Spencer Pratt.

When the first results were made public, On the night of Tuesday, June 2, Pratt maintained a 10-point lead over Nithya Raman. However, as subsequent updates were announced, the gap between the two narrowed to about 3% on Friday night.

Political specialists assured that Bass had already secured his place for the November elections, and all that remained was to know the name of the candidate for who will face to define the next mayor of Los Angeles for the next four years.

According to the registrar’s office, the 156,965 ballots included in Saturday’s update bring the total number of votes processed to 1,774,846.
