The death of actor James Athand, in charge of giving life to iconic characters in “High Gun: Maverick” and “Jumanji”, shocked the public and the film community. Even more so when his agent, Pam Ellis-Evenas, released a brief statement in which he revealed the tragic cause of death.
“It is with great sadness that I can confirm that the gentleman who was attacked and killed on Wednesday in Tarzana was actor James At hand.”shared from Other folks magazine.
However, one of the most disturbing details within the chronology of the actor’s death was revealed in an official statement from the Los Angeles Police Department.
According to the writing, The authorities were notified about the murder through a call made to 911 in which the alleged perpetrator of the crime, Michael Gledhill, would have confessed. the outcome of his attack.
The emergency call from the 44-year-old individual began with the phrase: “I am the son of man, I have just killed the man of sin”which triggered a protocol by the interior most in turn.
LAPD officers responded to the call around 9:30 a.m. in the 19200 block of Erwin Avenue, three blocks south of Victory Boulevard, in the Tarzana neighborhood of Los Angeles.
Within the report it was stated that, upon arrival in the neighborhood, “The suspect stopped the officers who were responding nearby and told them that he was the person they were looking for.”
This is how Michael Gledhill, identified as the son of James Athand’s romantic partner, was arrested at the scene after turning himself in voluntarily. After a few hours in police custody, The suspect was charged with one count of murder and his bail was set at two million dollars.
A relationship aquainted with friction
According to the testimony of some neighbors to the local network Fox 11, The night before the crime, an argument between the two was heard.. However, neither James At hand nor any neighbor chose to call the authorities.
For its part, Another resident told the same media that Michael Gledhill had been suffering from “delusions” in the days before the attack by the 81-year-old celebrity..
