The project incorporates learning obtained both in competition and in tests carried out on some of the most demanding circuits in the world.

Tuned to squeeze every curve

The development of the vehicle was inspired by the vision of Akio Toyodawho promoted the creation of models capable of arousing genuine emotions among driving enthusiasts.

To achieve this, engineers worked hard on aerodynamics. The model incorporates a functional air intake on the hood, ventilation outlets on the fenders, new front aerodynamic elements and a large rear spoiler designed to generate greater downforce and stability at high speeds.

Toyota even modified the spoiler pitch in small adjustments during testing to find the perfect balance between grip and dynamic performance.

Less weight and more precision

Mass reduction was one of the priorities of the project. The GRMN Corolla eliminates the rear seats and uses components made of carbon fiber to shave approximately 66 pounds compared to the conventional model.

The suspension also received a major overhaul. The new monotube shock absorbers and specific tuning seek to improve stability and traction capacity when the vehicle is pushed to the limit.

Added to this are the tires Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2considered among the best for sports use and circuit days.

Optimized power for sporty driving

Under the hood it remains the G16E-GTS 1.6-liter three-cylinder turbocharged engine, capable of developing 300 horsepower. However, Toyota worked to increase torque to 302 pound-feet.

The improvement is especially concentrated in the mid-range of revolutions, a key area for achieving strong accelerations when exiting corners.

The set is complemented by an intelligent six-speed manual transmission, a spray system for the intercooler and all-wheel drive, elements that allow consistent performance to be maintained even during demanding driving sessions.

Limited production

The interior also reflects the model’s sporty focus. New semi-bucket seats offer greater lateral support, while carbon fiber finishes and exclusive details help differentiate this version from the rest of the range.

Toyota has not yet confirmed the official price of the GRMN Corolla 2026. However, various estimates suggest that it could start around $50,000.

Furthermore, everything indicates that its production will be very limited, possibly below 999 units, which would make it one of the most exclusive Corollas manufactured by the company.
