Actor Anthony Stewart Head, who gave life to the endearing character of ‘Rupert Mannion’ in the series “Ted Lasso”, He died at the age of 72 after complications from pneumonia.
The news about the unfortunate death was announced through a statement from the Head family, released through British media.
In the writing, The actor’s daughters revealed that he left “in peace and surrounded by his loved ones.” However, it is currently unknown whether he remained hospitalized in the hours before his death.
“It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our extraordinary father, Anthony Head. He died peacefully after complications from pneumonia and surrounded by his family,” said his daughters Emily and Daisy Head.
In the writing they also highlighted the impact that their work leaves in the world of entertainment. “It has been, and always will be, an honor and a privilege to be his daughters, and to have witnessed firsthand the impact that both he and his work have had on so many people,” the actresses added.
Despite the irreparable loss that his death represents, the family of Anthony Stewart Head is aware that his legacy will endure for decades.
“Our pain is much greater than the void he has left, but we know that his legacy will endure in the programs of which he was a part and in the public that enjoys them,” it was said.
In closing, Stewart Head’s loved ones asked for space to navigate this period of mourning: “How fortunate we are to know that we can see him doing what he loved, even when he is no longer with us. We kindly ask that you respect our privacy during these difficult times.“, they specified.
