The wait is over for lovers of animated films, as the acclaimed Pixar film, “Hoppers” arrived in the Disney+ platform catalog on June 3, as confirmed by the entertainment giant.
According to the announcement, the Disney and Pixar production is available to all subscribers of the platform completely free of charge.
But what is the story about? According to the synopsis shared by the study, The film follows Mabel, a young animal lover who has the technology capable of transferring her consciousness into a robotic beaver. As a result, the young woman can communicate directly with different animal species and access a world unknown to human beings.
The cast that voices the characters is made up of Piper Curda as the protagonist “Mabel”; Bobby Moynihan as “King George,” Jon Hamm stars as “Mayor Jerry Generazzo,” while Kathy Najimy plays Dr. “Samantha ‘Sam’ Fairfax.” In addition, the film features the participation of Oscar winner Meryl Streep.

In an exclusive talk with La Opinión, director Daniel Chong opened up about his desire to create a project that stays in the hearts of the public for its fun plot, putting all the television experience acquired with the series “We Bare Bears”, of 120 episodes, which he produced for Comic strip Community.
According to his testimony, The biggest challenge was finding a balance between the mental speed of television and the emotional essence for which Pixar has stood out.
“I think I came with a very strong obsession with making a fun movie,” Chong stated during the press presentation at Pixar Studios in mid-January. “Everyone says a Pixar movie makes you cry. It’s true. But to me, a Pixar movie is about characters, comedic characters that are really entertaining and that you invest in.”
Regarding the animation process, animator Luis Uribe Córdoba, who has been collaborating with Pixar for more than a decade on productions such as “Elemental”, Luca” and “Upright Dinosaur”, explained that “Hoppers” became a new school of his art.
“We animators are like actors in the film (…) The director gives you a kickoff and explains what he needs in each scene. In ‘Hoppers’, for example, with King George we needed him to transmit power and emotion in every movement.”he continued.
The film “Hoppers” premiered in movie theaters worldwide on March 6, achieving the best global debut for a fashioned animated film from the Pixar studio since Coco in 2017.
According to figures cited by Infobae, In its first weekend of release, the film grossed $88 million at the global box office, 46 of these occurred in North America, while the rest occurred internationally.
