President Donald Trump is in favor of seeing James David Vance and Marco Rubio together as the Republican formula to compete for the White House in the elections to be held in 2028.
During an episode of the “Pod Force One” podcast produced by the newspaper Recent York Submitthe seventy-nine-year-old president now opted for the option of integrating the diplomatic capacity and talent of both members of his cabinet into a duo that, from his perspective, would be difficult to defeat at the polls.
“I like both of them and I like them together. I don’t know how you can beat them if they are together. It would be a great team. I find it very interesting,” he said.
Since last year, the current vice president of the nation and the secretary of state have been involuntarily placed, both by political analysts, the media and even by the country’s president himself, in a competition to define who of the two is best prepared to reach the White House through the citizen vote.
Trump assigned Marco Rubio the mission of reaching immigration agreements with several countries to not only stop the waves of foreigners lacking criminal status who used to enter the United States en masse and never leave again.
In addition, the conservative with Cuban roots was entrusted with the task of putting the drug lords in America in check, cutting off Nicolás Maduro’s management as president of Venezuela, and even achieving the fall of the military regime in Cuba to open the island to the world, which he is currently working on.
Regarding JD Vance, he was mainly assigned the task of carrying out a hypothetical annexation of Greenland as a US territory, of negotiating an agreement with Iran to end the war through the opening of the Strait of Hormuz and of raising as much money as possible through donations directed to the coffers of the Republican Party.
In that way, Through direct competition, Trump has managed to test the capacity of both Republicans to, when the time comes, know who to lean towards as his possible successor or if it is necessary to opt for a different one.
