With more than 60% of the ballots counted, Karen Bass maintains her lead of at least four points over Spencer Pratt in the preliminary results for the mayor of Los Angeles.
According to the “Los Angeles Times,” Bass is the digital winner in the primaries with 34.8% (172,720 votes)ahead of reality star Spencer Pratt, who is in second place in the race with 30% (150,149 votes). Both would face each other in the November general elections.
Councilwoman Nithya Raman, whom previous polls placed as Bass’s possible rival on the November ballot, Preliminary results placed it in third place, with 22% (110,848 votes).

Bass aspires to be re-elected for a second term as mayor of Los Angelesa procedure that will have to wait until November, after not counting at least 50% in the primaries to win the election directly.
Although the Los Angeles mayoral primary is nonpartisan, Karen Bass has represented the Democratic Party as a member of Congress. Raman recalled herself as a Democrat and Pratt described herself as a registered Republican.
Everything seems to indicate that Bass and Pratt names to appear on Nov. 3 general election ballotswhen it will be defined whether Bass repeats as mayor or there is a change in the desire of the victim of the Palisades fire, as long as the trend of the primaries is confirmed.

Pratt appears to have enough of an advantage over Councilwoman Ramanwith a difference of eight points. Even during the night of this Tuesday and early Wednesday morning, Spencer also reduced her disadvantage with Mayor Bass.

“I couldn’t be more excited. I ran in the elections because, as a citizen, I felt like my city had failed me, my neighbors and my family.“said Spencer Pratt after learning the first results of the primary elections on Tuesday night.
Pratt did not miss the opportunity to reiterate their criticism of Karen Bass’s management as mayorand assured that he was willing to debate with her towards the general elections.

“Mayor Bass allowed the city to be filled with potholes. And then there are the mothers who want to go to the parks without seeing anyone injecting fentanyl with their pants down,” Pratt said.
With the number of ballots that still need to be counted, Nithya Raman could still catch Pratt and Bass. The councilor was moved to tears when thanking her followers this Tuesday night in downtown Los Angeles.
“Los Angeles is the most magical city in the world. Win or lose, I am very proud to be an Angeleno and very grateful to be able to call this extraordinary city my home.. Whatever happens in these elections, I will never stop fighting for it,” Raman said.

According to the AP agency, Bass had enough votes this Tuesday night to ensure their passage to the second round of November.
