This week, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced to American consumers the withdrawal from the market of some dietary supplements sold online in several retail chains after salmonella contamination was confirmed.
According to the statement from the health entity, The products affected by the recall are Doctor’s Pleasure Total Unexperienced Superfood Extremely Potent Moringa and TNVitamins Complete Green Superfood Extremely Potent Moringa capsules, both from the Total Nutrition Inc. brand, which They were sold in white bottles with white caps and contained 120 capsules.
These supplements were sold in several states across the country through the platforms of Amazon, Walmart, TikTok Store and Target, with the following UPC codes and expiration dates:
TNVitamins Complete Green Superfood Extremely Potent Moringa, 10,000 mg (120 capsules).
- Lot: 2507199, Expiration: 09/2027.
- Lot: 2512-304, Expiration: 02/2028.
- Lot: 2793, Expiration: 02/2028.

Until now, The FDA indicated that 119 cases of poisoning have been reported related to the intake of these supplements, and 32 of the cases have required hospitalization due to their severity.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) warns consumers to be alert for symptoms of contamination with salmonella, which among the most common are diarrhea, fever and stomach cramps.
Finally, the FDA recommends that consumers discard the product or return it to the retailer where it was purchased for a refund.
