donald trump launched a harsh criticism against the federal judge Christopher Cooper after a court decision stopped a series of changes promoted by his administration at the Kennedy Center in Washington, one of the most emblematic cultural institutions in the United States.

Through an extensive message published on social networks, Trump maintained that the magistrate acted for political reasons and affirmed that there is a conflict of interest due to the professional ties of his wife, Amy Jeffress, with Democratic figures and legal cases related to investigations that have involved the president.

“It would have been a new standard of excellence,” Trump stated when defending the project.

The president also maintained that the necessary technological remodeling to guarantee the safety of the property and assured that the building has deterioration problems accumulated over decades.

And he did not forget to mention that the judge also asked for his name to disappear. “Remove your name from the building; you have 20 days to do it”Trump claimed, despite the fact that the board of directors, according to him, unanimously approved keeping the name.

Accusations against the judge and his entourage

Trump stated that the magistrate should have removed himself from the case due to the professional career of his wife, who has worked on different matters related to Democratic administrations.

The president assured that that relationship prevents him from receiving fair treatment within the judicial system and described the decision as an example of what he considers a growing politicization of the federal courts.

Without presenting new evidence, Trump linked the case to other legal disputes recent related to tariffs, immigration and decisions made by your administration.
