The Total State Justice Prosecutor’s Office (FGJE) of Zacatecas confirmed the kidnapping of Gustavo Domínguez Saldívarformer director of the entity’s Investigative Police, who was intercepted by unknown individuals in the state capital.
According to the agency, the events occurred when the victim was on public roads and was intercepted by an armed group.
The authorities reported that during the first investigations A vehicle allegedly related to the case was identifiedwhich remains under operational and analysis monitoring.
The FGJE indicated that, so far, no communication has been received demanding any reward for the release of the former official, so investigations continue to clarify the circumstances of the event.
The institution specified that Domínguez Saldívar stopped working at the Prosecutor’s Office a year and eight months ago; However, he stressed that this condition does not diminish efforts to achieve its prompt location.
The Prosecutor’s Office also reported that it maintains coordination with different security corporations to find the whereabouts of the victim and determine the responsibility of those involved.
The case has generated attention because Gustavo Domínguez held one of the main positions within the state’s prison investigation structure, in a context marked by the security challenges faced by Zacatecas.
