This Monday, Memorial Day or Memorial Day is celebrated in the United States, one of the most anticipated holidays for Americans, who not only honor the memory of their relatives who died during their service to the nation, but also They take advantage of the day to enjoy the parades, barbecues, visits to the beach and fireworks.
And like every holiday, there are establishments that usually close their doors during the day and others that don’t, so here we tell you what will be open and closed during Memorial Day:
During this day of celebration, The New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq will remain closed and will resume operations on Tuesday, May 26, as will non-essential government offices.
For its part, in the post offices, some UPS locations will be closed, although FedEx reported that while some branches may be completely closed, others will have modified hours.
As for supermarkets and retail chains, this Monday Goal will open at its usual hours, as will Walmart, ALDI, Food Lion, Kroger, Conclude & Shop, Trader Joe’s, Wegmans and Whole Meals.
Also Buck Total, Dwelling Depot, Lowe’s, Macy’s, Marshalls, TJ Maxx, JCPenney, Kohl’s, among others, will remain open; The only retail chain that reported it will close its doors during the holiday was Costco.
Finally, among the fast food chains that will open their doors this Monday are Burger King, Chick-fil-A, Applebee’s and McDonald’s.
