The historic Pyramids of Giza served as the setting for the first face-to-face meeting between the Mexican Saul Canelo Alvarez and the Frenchman Christian Mbilli this Friday in Egypt.
Both boxers They came face to face in Egyptian territory during the week of activities preceding to the stellar fight between Oleksandr Usyk and Rico Verhoeventaking advantage of the monumental setting of the desert to promote their next confrontation.

The event was part of the official presentation of the fight that will be held on September 12 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
This clash is framed in the concept “Mexico against the World”, a sports project designed to pit Aztec figures against international contenders on high-profile cards organized by Saudi authorities.
An expected return to the ring
