RAM decided to play hard again in the sports pickup segment and did so by recovering one of the names most remembered by American fans. The new Ram 1500 Rumble Bee 2027 does not arrive only as a nostalgic editionbut as a truck developed to compete head to head with some high-performance sports cars.

The brand took direct inspiration from the world NASCAR and muscle cars to create a pickup that mixes extreme power, work capabilities and an aggressive image that is impossible to ignore. The result is a complete line of versions that target both those looking for a powerful truck for everyday use and those who want track sensations.

The return of the Rumble Bee also marks an important moment for Ram within the North American market. After years without a truly radical pickup, the company is once again betting on a model that puts performance above all else and that seeks to recover the rebellious essence that made the missing one famous. A family of pickups with racing DNA
The new Rumble Bee range will be made up of four different variants. The gateway will be the Rumble Bee equipped with the 5.7-liter, 395-horsepower HEMI V8 engine. Above appears the Rumble Bee 392, which develops 470 horsepower thanks to the well-known 6.4-liter HEMI block.
Ram also confirmed a 392 Be conscious Pack version aimed at those looking for more track-focused behavior. However, all the attention is stolen by the new Rumble Bee SRT Hellcat.
This variant incorporates the 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine inherited from the Hellcat, capable of generating 777 horsepower and 680 lb-ft of torque. With those figures, the pickup accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds and reaches a top speed of 154 mph.
As explained by Tim Kuniskis, director of American brands and SRT performance for North America, many muscle car owners also have trucks, so Ram saw the perfect opportunity to unite both universes.
Brutal power without losing work capacity
Although the Rumble Bee SRT was developed with performance in mind, Ram claims it maintains realistic hauling and towing capabilities. The pickup can tow up to 8,890 pounds and support 1,160 pounds of payload.
To support such power, the brand reinforced the eight-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission. In addition, all versions include permanent all-wheel drive.
One of the most striking details is the “RWD” modea button that disconnects the front axle and transforms the truck into a rear-wheel drive model. This allows controlled drifts and an experience much closer to that of a traditional muscle car.
NASCAR inspiration and an aesthetic that is impossible to ignore
Ram took advantage of his return to the NASCAR Truck Series to transfer much of that visual and dynamic language to the new Rumble Bee. The pickup stands out for its yellow paint, its muscular lines and a much more aggressive stance than that of a conventional Ram.
The SRT division made extensive changes to the chassis, including a 13-inch reduction in the wheelbase to improve structural rigidity and increase agility.
They also appear 325/40R22 tires mounted on 22-inch wide rimsthe most extreme configuration used by the brand since the time of the Dodge Viper.
In terms of aerodynamics, the truck incorporates a functional front splitter, huge air intakes, specific cooling ducts and a large rear spoiler developed to generate real downforce. Ram claims that the assembly makes up to 192 pounds of load to maintain stability at high speeds.
Technological inner and sports focus
The cabin completely abandons the idea of a traditional work pickup. The Rumble Bee features a flat-top sports steering wheel, aluminum paddle shifters, and bucket seats.
It also includes a 12.3-inch configurable digital screen and Uconnect multimedia system with up to 14.5-inch screens compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The most equipped versions add carbon fiber, top rate leather, a 19-speaker Harman Kardon sound system and different performance-focused functions, including launch assist, Be conscious and Valet modes, as well as telemetry pages.
Production of the new Ram 1500 Rumble Bee will take place in Saltillo, Mexico. The first units with a 5.7-liter HEMI engine will arrive at the end of 2026, while the 392 and SRT Hellcat variants will appear during the first half of 2027.
Although Ram has not yet confirmed official figures, everything indicates that the most extreme version could exceed the $100,000 dollars.
