The Argentine coach Nicolás Larcamón will arrive this Friday in Gijón to close his incorporation into Gijón Carrying as a new coach with a contract for one season and option for a second based on sporting objectives.
Larcamón will pass by the Mareo facilities in the next few hours to sign the documentation and seal his arrival on the rojiblanco bench, which he will formally assume as of July 1.

The coach will be present this Sunday at El Molinón to witness the match against Almería (6:30 p.m.), corresponding to the penultimate day of the celebrated season.
Larcamón, 41 years old and born in La Plata, province of Buenos Aires, developed his career entirely in South America and Mexico, where he coached Liga MX Puebla, León, Necaxa and Cruz Azul, club from which he was fired in April despite having qualified the team for the Clausura 2026 League.
The Orlegi Group, owner of Carrying since 2022, already knew from its career in Mexican football the profile of the Argentine coach, who will replace Borja Jiménez, who arrived on the red and white bench in the fall of 2025 after the dismissal of Asier Garitano and He concludes his stage with the team located in the middle of the table, with no mathematical options for promotion or relegation.
