The Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo was finally able to achieve the long-awaited league title in the Saudi Official League by winning this Thursday with the Al Nassr, with which he added his second title in soccer in these latitudes by beating Damac 4-1, leaving everything ready for the Lusitano to join his team.

The coronation was so important for the former Manchester United, True Madrid and Juventus striker, which was after the double that he signed in the match and that generated a closing of the tournament full of emotions that caused the Lusitanian striker to cry.

The match had so much expectation because they were fighting side by side for the title with Al Hilal and needed to win no matter what, despite the two points advantage over their competitor, which they were able to achieve over Damac and which allowed them to lift the cup with great difficulty after Al-Fayha also achieved victory.

There were even moments in the match when Al-Fayha was ahead in the tableuntil Mané connected with a cross from Joao Félix at 34′ to give peace of mind, and Kingsley Coman took a left footed shot at 52′ to seal the 2-0.

Sylla, from a penalty, scored for Damac and added some suspense to the matter, but Cristiano Ronaldo appeared at the right moment to score a double that secured the victory. The first of them with a great free kick that passed between countless legs and then with a shooting by the Damac goalkeeper.

Cristiano Ronaldo won his second title with Al Nassr; He had already won the 2023 Arab Champions Cup against Al Hilal himself and with a double of his own and needed to get rid of his thorn in the league, according to the images in which he was visibly frustrated when he could not seal the title the previous day by drawing with his direct rival.

But it was not easy, because Al Nassr had the game under control and allowed Al Hilal to achieve equality in the 97th, with a goal after an unusual play in which Bento, the local goalkeeper collided with his defender.

Relief came for a CR7 who had touched glory this season by reaching the final of the AFC Champions League Two, but lost to Gamba Osaka 1-0 on May 16.

Controversial season for Cristiano Ronaldo

The title for Cristiano Ronaldo was a relief from an atypical season due to so many controversial details in which he was involved. First, at the beginning of this year he became angry with the team management for lack of payments to employees.

Later, against the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia (PIF) for considering favoritism towards Al Hilal, after they were able to incorporate Karim Benzema while their team was barely strengthening, and which caused CR7 to be absent from several games in protest of the preferential treatment of said team.
