The lifeless body of a 4-year-old girl was found inside a vehicle SUV in the Valley Village neighborhood, prompting an investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).
According to reports, at approximately 3:40 pm on Tuesday, LAPD officers responded to the call of a medical emergency near the intersection of McCormick Street and Bluebell Avenuein Valley Village.
The emergency services confirmed that the minor, who had been found unconscious inside a parked vehicle, had already died.

According to neighbors, it was learned that the girl was traveling in a carpool from the Valley Village neighborhood and was supposed to be dropped off at daycare, but somehow, by accident, They left her abandoned in the SUV for hours under extreme heat conditions.
On the spot Law enforcement officers were observed covering the SUV with a white tent and placing yellow police tape to cordon off the street in the residential neighborhood.
Investigators also searched a home near the scene. where the vehicle was parked, with the minor inside.

Until this Wednesday morning, it was not clear the circumstances surrounding the death of the 4-year-old girl.
LAPD detectives released, in a brief press conference, some details about the incident, which can be investigated as a possible homicide.
Criminal defense attorney Lou Shapiro stated that The wife of the driver of the vehicle called him to come to the scene. The only thing he confirmed is that the driver was not the father of the deceased girl and that he was possibly a driver of a shared vehicle.

Shapiro said that He did not know if his client would be arrested in relation to this case.
“There is always the possibility. I’m told this is an active crime scene, so it could very well happen.. I’m just being realistic about it,” Shapiro said in an interview with KTLA.
The Los Angeles Police Department has not provided any further information. about the girl’s identity.

LAPD investigators searched the area and They asked neighbors if they had surveillance camera recordings or if they had witnessed something.
