Members of the Madres Buscadoras de Jalisco collective reported the discovery of an alleged clandestine crematorium and at least 16 graves on a property located in the municipality of Lagos de Moreno.

According to reports spread by local groups and media such as the newspaper La Jornada, the site would have been located after an anonymous complaint.
In the area, spots with ashes, bone fragments, drums with chemical substances and areas apparently used for the cremation of bodies were found.

The search engines pointed out that Some remains still gave off smoke and a burning smell. at the time of discovery.
The search efforts also led to the discovery of approximately 60 bags with human remains in different parts of El Salto and Lagos de Moreno, in addition to three complete bodies and several bones, according to members of the group.
The search mothers reported that the property had already been previously intervened by authorities, but was allegedly used again.
Likewise, they demanded exhaustive investigations and greater coordination between state and federal authorities to address the crisis of disappearances that Jalisco faces.
