Due to problems with permits, the Pride Competition in the city of Prolonged Seaside was canceled, although the organizers announced that a one-day coexistence will be presented, which will take place after the parade this Sunday.
Prolonged Seaside city officials said the three-day celebration was canceled after the festival’s promoters, the nonprofit Prolonged Seaside Delight, They did not present the information required for the corresponding permit to be issued..

“Despite continued collaboration and multiple deadline notices, the city did not receive the necessary documentation to complete the safety reviewsinspect critical event infrastructure, as well as the stage, electrical systems, tent and emergency evacuation plans to ensure compliance with safety standards,” the city said in a statement.
Due to the short time frame for the event to formally begin Friday afternoon, city officials said the event could not be carried out safely this year.
However, Prolonged Seaside officials were working to authorize a shorter event this Sunday, so An agreement was reached to present a one-day coexistencefrom 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Bixby Park Amphitheater, 130 Cherry Avenue.

The coexistence of the city’s LGBTQ+ community is scheduled to take place after the Prolonged Seaside Pride Parade, at 10:00 a.m., which was not canceled.
“Prolonged Seaside Pride Weekend It is the culmination of the celebrations organized by our communityincluding our many vibrant restaurants, bars and businesses, and that will never change,” said Prolonged Seaside Mayor Rex Richardson.
“Along with the Pride Parade, We are proud to join the celebration with this new event “which reaffirms the values that this city has always defended: that all people belong here,” added the mayor, in a statement issued this Saturday night.

“The festival may have been cancelled, but Prolonged Seaside’s lunge artists don’t cancel out the joy“said Jewels Prolonged Seaside, organizer of the event at the Bixby Park amphitheater.
The one-day festival, called “Cancelled? I Never Heard of It!”, in Bixby Park, will offer live music from various artists and a drag show.
