One day after the discovery of human remains in the former residence of Noel Rodríguez-Álvarez in Texas, it was confirmed that they belonged to the 6-year-old boy, who had been missing for more than three years.

Noel, who was born with physical and developmental disabilities, had not been seen since October 2022as confirmed at the time by the FBI and Everman police. The boy was seen twice that month: once when his mother, Cindy Rodriguez-Singhgave birth to twins and another when she appeared malnourished and in poor health, Of Us magazine reported, citing a press release from the authorities.

Authorities alleged at the time that, after the births, Rodriguez-Singh called Noel “possessed” and claimed he had a “demon” inside that would harm the twins.

Relatives believed that Rodríguez-Singh abused and neglected Noelaccording to authorities stated in a press release.

Authorities were not alerted to his disappearance until March 2023, when several relatives expressed concern for his safety and that of his six siblings.

On Thursday, May 15, the Tarrant County Prosecutor’s Office announced the discovery of human remains in the house where Noel resided.

The remains were taken to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office, where dental records confirmed they belonged to Noel, the Prosecutor’s Office said in a news release and video on Friday, May 15.

Prosecutor Phill Sorrells added in a news release that the case “has deeply affected our community from the beginning.”

“Noel was a boy whose life mattered,” Sorrells said. “He deserved protection, care and love. Instead, became the victim of an inconceivable crime“.

Sorrells said it is his “responsibility to seek justice for Noel and hold Rodriguez-Singh accountable under the law.”

Rodríguez-Singh, Noel’s mother, was arrested in August 2025about a month after his name was added to the FBI’s “Ten Most Wanted Fugitives” list.

The woman, a mother of seven children, was charged in October 2023 in Tarrant County District Court with one count of capital murder, two counts of injury to a minor and one count of abandoning a minor without intent to return to him.

In November of that same year, authorities issued a federal arrest warrant on charges of unlawful flight to avoid prosecution, according to court records reviewed by Of Us magazine.

Sorrells confirmed in a press conference on Thursday that Rodríguez-Singh was declared “incompetent” to stand trial.

“A psychological evaluation was performed and the psychologist informed the court that she is currently not competent to stand trial,” he declared.

“The report also indicates that they believe that, in the near future, she will regain mental capacity, for which she will be tried.”

Rodríguez-Singh is accused of having declared to the authorities, during a control visit in March 2023, that Noel was with her biological father in Mexico, a statement that was later denied.

Two days later, police say, Rodriguez-Singh boarded a flight to India from Dallas-Fortress Rate Airport, along with her husband, Arshdeep Singh, and six other children, ranging in age from 5 months to 11 years.
