After many months of speculation, the singer Alejandra Guzman has responded to doubts about the whereabouts of the iconic portrait that Diego Rivera painted of his mother, the late actress Silvia Pinal.
At a press conference to promote her new single, “Los que semos”, the rocker confessed that her mother fulfilled her wish to make her heir to said piece.
“I have inherited many things from my mother, but I carry it in my blood, you know? What is really valuable to me is what her life taught me, but I was always mad about that painting of my mother. I told her: ‘Oh mom, don’t give me anything but the painting’, because I like to paint, I’ve been painting since I was little, so I never thought that he would leave it to me.“He told the press.
Regarding the actual whereabouts of the work of art, Alejandra Guzmán explained that at the moment it is outside of Mexico: “They are restoring it, I went to the place, it is in New York, by a friend, Eugenio López, so I am trying to keep everything in order until the situation is resolved”he pointed out.
Questions about the home where the ‘Golden Cinema Diva’ lived since 1955 were also not lacking, specifically after reports of an alleged sale. In this regard, The 58-year-old famous woman clarified that the property located in Jardines del Pedregal in Mexico City is divided into three parts that correspond to Silvia Pinal’s children. “I left the house when I was 17 years old and my brothers still live in that house. So, I am already fixing my share and I plan to sell it”he said to dispel doubts.

Almost two years after the death of the first actress, the rock star opened up to the media about two moments in which he claims to have felt her presence.
“I dreamed of her behind a lagoon and I said to her: ‘How are you?’ and she told me: ‘I’m fine, don’t worry about anything’, but I saw her twice in the form of light, a very intense light.. One before an operation that was 9 and another in a chair that I brought that he loved,” he explained.
The artist ended the talk saying: “One day I got up at 6 am to drink water and suddenly I see the light right in his chair and we are all light, we are all going to become stardust again.”
