The Chinese embassy based in the United States announced four issues considered sensitive for its government and thatto avoid any disagreement, the president Donald Trump should avoid touching during the work meetings he will hold with President Xi Jinping.
Through a publication shared on the X platform, formerly known as Twitter, the aforementioned embassy practically defined the points that the Beijing government is not willing to address.
“The four red lines in relations between #China and #US should not be crossed.
1. The Taiwan question
2. Democracy and human rights
3. Roads and political systems
4. China’s right to development,” the text indicates.
Under this approach, it seems difficult for Trump to comply with several objectives that he had set before traveling to China.
Through a letter, Eight Republican and Democratic senators urged the seventy-nine-year-old president to continue selling weapons to Taiwanwhich could displease the Chinese government, since it considers the island part of its territory.

On the other hand, Trump promised to ask his counterpart Xi Jinping to release Ezra Jin, a Christian pastor, and Jimmy Lai, a Hong Kong media magnate, which could not make a good impression on the Chinese authorities either.
Nevertheless, The most delicate point of the meeting to be held in Beijing is the one related to the war in iranTherefore, although it is not officially on the agenda, it could be decisive for the immediate future of the economy worldwide.
The fact that the Strait of Hormuz has been closed since February 28 prevents China from receiving oil from the Middle East.
Unlike the Washington government, the Chinese authorities maintain a good diplomatic relationship with Iran and, given the impossibility of Donald Trump to convince the Islamic Republic to restore trade on the coastline it shares with Oman, it is mentioned that he would turn to Xi Jinping to achieve this objective with the open question about what benefit China would obtain in return.
