The former Puerto Rican baseball player Carlos Beltran announced the launch of “An achievement for everyone”an initiative with which he seeks that fans from Puerto Rico and all of Latin America can accompany him during his entry into the Baseball Hall of Fame next July 27 in Cooperstown, New York.

Through this project, the former player aims to bring his followers closer to one of the most important moments of his professional career and facilitate the logistics of attending the induction ceremony.

“This achievement is not just mine, it belongs to an entire town that has supported me from day one. ‘An achievement for all’ is born from the desire to share this moment with my people and guide them – as much as possible – so that they can be present in Cooperstown“, he expressed Beltran in a statement.

The former player assured that one of his great wishes for the day of the ceremony is to see a significant presence of Puerto Rican fans at the event that will be held at the Clark Sports Center.

Beltrán joins the Latin legends of the Hall of Fame

The exaltation of Carlos Beltran will have a special meaning for Latin baseball, as he will become the 20th Latino to enter the Cooperstown Hall of Fame and the sixth Puerto Rican to achieve it.

The former outfielder will join legendary figures such as Roberto Clemente, Orlando Cepeda, Roberto Alomar, Iván Rodríguez and Edgar Martínez.

Beltrán achieved his election after receiving more than 84% of the votes from the United States Baseball Writers’ Association, an endorsement that confirmed his impact within the Major Leagues.

The numbers that took Carlos Beltrán to the Hall of Fame

During 20 seasons in the Major Leagues, Carlos Beltran built a career full of consistency and offensive productivity.

The Puerto Rican finished with 435 home runs, the second most among Puerto Rican players behind Carlos Delgado, in addition to registering 2,725 hits, 312 stolen bases, three Gold Gloves and nine selections to the All-Star Game.

His career included stints in seven MLB franchises, establishing himself as one of the most complete players of his generation.

The initiative promoted by Beltran It also aims to motivate more Latin fans to experience the ceremony in Cooperstown up close and turn the event into a collective celebration for Puerto Rico.

The project seeks to facilitate the travel and organization experience for all those fans who wish to accompany the former player on his official entry to the venue of baseball’s immortals.
