Amazon confirmed that it will expand its Amazon Now service, which allows you to receive orders in just 30 minutes, to more cities in the United States this year. The measure seeks to reach millions of customers before the end of 2026 and strengthen its competition in the express delivery market.

After starting trials in Seattle and Philadelphia late last year, Amazon announced that the service will have a major expansion in Atlanta, Dallas-Fortress Worth and Austin. In addition, it will also begin operating in Denver, Houston, Minneapolis, Oklahoma Metropolis and Orlandoalthough in some cities the rollout will be slow and will only be initially available in certain areas.

“Amazon Now is great for when you need or want the convenience of receiving your Amazon order in 30 minutes or less,” said Udit Madan, senior vice president of Worldwide Operations at Amazon, in a statement. “With thousands of items available for ultra-fast delivery, you can have everything from dinner groceries to AirPods before a flight to household essentials like laundry detergent or toothpaste delivered right to your door.”

Users can check if Amazon Now is available in their area directly from the app or the official Amazon website. In most places where you operate, The service will operate 24 hours a day.

Amazon explained that this rapid delivery system relies on small logistics centers located near the areas where customers live and work.

“Designed for efficient order fulfillment, strategically located near where customers live and work,” the company said of these distribution points.

With Amazon Now, customers will be able to order grocery products, household essentials and other everyday essentials. In some cities it will also be possible to order alcoholic beverages, depending on local regulations.

The cost of the service will be $3.99 per order for Amazon Prime members.. Customers without a Prime subscription must pay $13.99 per delivery. Additionally, orders under $15 will have additional charges: $1.99 for Prime users and $3.99 for non-members.

The expansion of Amazon Now joins the company’s other fast services. At the moment, Amazon already offers deliveries in one hour and three hours for more than 90 thousand productsin addition to same-day shipping in more than 10,000 cities in the United States.

The company also continues to develop Prime Air, its drone delivery program that promises orders in less than 60 minutes. This system currently operates in cities such as Houston, Phoenix, San Antonio and Waco, Texas, as well as other locations in Michigan, Kansas and Florida.

In the race for ultra-fast deliveries, when many other companies offer deliveries on the same day or in a few hours, Amazon once again takes the lead to set a new important logistics goal of just minutes, by which it seeks to remain in the preference of its customers.
