The singer and actor Vadhir Derbez is in a delicate situation on a social and media level after it was revealed that A 19-year-old American model issued a complaint against her for alleged sexual abuse.
In the midst of the controversy, Eugenio Derbez’s son reappeared before the media in the company of his lawyers, Enrique González Casanova and Damián Martínez. In a link with the “De Primera Mano” program, The 35-year-old celebrity categorically denied the accusations against him and, in addition, reported being a victim of extortion.
“If I am here showing my face it is because believe me that we have all the evidence that all this did not happen and it is very hard for me to have to go through this. “They don’t know how bad I’ve been having,” declared the “Latidos” interpreter in front of the cameras.
With no intention of hindering the ongoing process, the Mexican chose to give the floor to the lawyer, who confirmed that the complaint was notified via text message from an unregistered number.
“Mr. Vadhir Derbez receives messages through various cell phones, also through Instagram, asking him for money. He had supposedly committed some sexual abuse against a young lady, and the truth is that we don’t even know who he is,” the lawyer indicated.
The actor’s defense assured that the investigation file against his client was opened once he refused to pay the $350,000 that was required of him.
“We understand that it is an organized crime network, we understand that it is a group apparently of a Colombian mafia with some Mexican mafia. We already have the investigation before the Special Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime (FEMDO),” he added.
For his part, Vadhir Derbez regretted having been the target of this type of extortion due to the openness he has had in talking about his lifestyle. “Sadly I didn’t see many signs. Already scratching him, I remember conversations that always ended up diverted towards my lifestyle, where I lived and what kind of things I had.“, he stated.
What does the lawsuit against Vadhir Derbez say?
According to the young woman’s testimony, presented in a 300-page document recovered by the media, the events would have taken place in the Coyoacán Mayor’s Officein Mexico City, during the recording of a music video by the accused himself.
The letter details that Derbez would have entered the dressing room where she was with other models, but when he saw her sitting on the floor, he took her by the hand to take her to his own dressing room to be alone.
The plaintiff indicates that after being a victim of alleged abuse, she went to the prosecutor’s office to present her complaint, for which it was necessary to carry out physical and psychological examinations.
After Vadhir Derbez’s statements categorically denying the allegations against him, the accusing party has stayed away from commenting on the matter.
