Non-public of the Secretary of the Navy intercepted a small vessel with three outboard motors in the waters of the Pacific Ocean, off the coast of the state of Guerrero.
As a result, arrested two people of foreign nationality and seized 26 packages with cocaine.
The action was part of intelligence and investigation work that allowed maritime monitoring of the vessel from 361 nautical miles south-southwest of Acapulco, Guerrero, until its arrival ashore on the coast of Arroyo Seco, in the municipality of Petatlán.

With this coordinated deployment of surface, air and land units, non-public naval achieved the fourth seizure of illicit substances at sea in a weekwhich represents a significant impact on the operations of criminal groups dedicated to drug trafficking.
In that sense, the Secretary of the Navy highlighted that these seizures are added to the more than 65.5 tons of cocaine seized in maritime operations during the present federal administration.
The detained people and what was seized were placed at the disposal of the competent authority in the Eighth Naval Region, in Acapulco, Guerrero, where an investigation will begin to determine which prison group they belong to.
The Mexican Pacific region continues to be one of the main routes used by criminal groups to transport cocaine shipments from South America to national territory and the United States.
