The prison battle between Paulina Rubio and her ex-husband, Nicolás Vallejo-Nágera, better known as “Colate”, continues to give something to talk about. In the midst of a growing media scandal over the custody of her son, Andrea Nicolás, the so-called “Golden Girl” decided to speak out publicly through a statement.
Far from going into details about the accusations or the details of the prison process she faces, the Mexican singer focused her message on what she considers the pillar of her life: motherhood.
“Being a mother is my reason for being”
In the letter, Paulina Rubio began by thanking the support she has received during this most profoundly complicated moment.
“I want to deeply thank all the people who have supported me as a mother during this time. Being a mother is not only a part of my life, it is my reason for being and the most important role I will have.”he expressed.
The interpreter also wanted to reflect on the emotional bond that unites a mother with her children, highlighting that this love arises even before birth and lasts forever. “You guide them, you protect them, you fight for them and you carry them in your heart forever”he noted in the statement.
The war for the custody of Andrea Nicolás is generating all kinds of speculation, both in international media and on social networks. What began as a media separation is escalating in recent weeks after accusations, crossed statements and various versions emerged about the adolescent’s family environment, assuming that it is not the healthiest for him.
Although Rubio avoided referring directly to the accusations or the specific details of the litigation, he made his position very clear: All your decisions are guided by the well-being of your children.
“My children are and will always be my priority. Every decision I make is born from unconditional love, protection and absolute commitment to their well-being, their happiness and their future,” the singer wrote.
To end her message, Paulina Rubio included a phrase that summarizes her staunch feelings: “Being a mother is the greatest honor and the deepest love I will ever experience.”
