Kate del Castillo returns to Telemundo to bring Teresa Mendoza to life in “La Reina del Sur 4”. Along with her we will see a luxury cast, among whom we can mention: Ágata Clares, Alejandro Calva, Antonio Gil, Arturo Ríos, Cuca Escribano, Ed Trucco, Emmanuel Orenday, Isabella SierraKika Edgar, Lincoln Palomeque, Patricia Reyes Spindola, Sofía Lama and Víctor Rebullamong others. Spanish actor Daniel Grao joins the star cast this season.
But for this new season we will also have new characters, among whom we can mention: Ariadne Fova, Gustavo Sánchez Parra, Jason Day, Juan Carlos Remolina, Leticia Huijara, Tamara Mazarraza, Tulio Villavicencio and Xaviani Ponce de León.
About the project and this new season, Javier Pons, Chief Screech Officer & Head of Telemundo Studios, said the following: “’La Reina del Sur’ is an innovative franchise that continues to expand the global reach of Spanish-language television, while reinventing his way of telling stories to connect with the public.”

For her part, Kate del Castillo says that giving life to Teresa Mendoza again “It is always an incredible journey.” She accepts that this character on a personal level has marked her, she accepts that he, like herself, evolves in ways that “challenge me as an actress,” said Kate del Castillo.
Regarding what we will see in this new stage of Teresa Mendoza, she says: “This new season takes her to a deeper and more emotional place than ever, and I am excited to return to her world. I can’t wait for fans to see this next chapter of her story.”
What is the premise of this new season?
Through a press release, the network confirms that this fourth season of “La Reina del Sur” follows Teresa Mendoza years after having built a new life in Madrid, where he has a successful restaurant and enjoys a daily life with his daughter, Sofía, and his loyal ally, Oleg. But when tragedy strikes, everything changes.
Consumed by pain and driven by the thirst for revenge, Teresa returns to Mexico, where she discovers a powerful criminal network linked to the fentanyl crisis. Surrounded by corruption, danger, and unseen enemies, she must forge new alliances and dismantle the organization from within, unleashing a relentless quest for justice that could destroy it or see it rise once again from the ashes.
The fourth season of “La Reina del Sur” is written by Pablo Ilanés, directed by Javier Patrón Fox, Carlos Villegas and Claudia Pedraza, with Javier Pons as executive producer and Jacky Castro as head of production for Telemundo, and Marcos Santana of Mas Ros MediaLLC as executive producer.
This fourth installation of “La Reina del Sur” is a production by Telemundo Studios for Telemundo Network in the United States and Netflix as a global streaming partner.
