The party of the World Cup 2026 is coming, and to liven it up, FIFA has confirmed the participation of several artists who will entertain the three opening ceremonies that will take place in the countries of the host teams: Mexico, United States and Canada.

So far it is known that the opening match of the tournament, scheduled for June 11 at the Azteca Stadium in Mexico City, will see the host team face South Africa. For the occasion, there will be performances by the rock band Maná, Alejandro Fernández, Belinda and Los Ángeles Azules.

For its part, Michael Bublé, Alanis Morissette and Alessia Cara for the cowl that will take place in Canada’s first group match against Bosnia and Herzegovinascheduled for June 12 in Toronto.

For the event in the United States, where the team will face Paraguay at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, Katy Perry will be the important artist. The statement reports that other American talents hired by FIFA are: rapper Future, DJ Sanjoy and Lisa, the Thai rapper and singer member of the South Korean group Blackpink.

According to information from The Athletics, the opening ceremonies, which are scheduled to begin 90 minutes before the start of each game. In addition, it was announced that the event in Mexico has a scheduled duration of 16 minutes and 30 seconds, while those in the United States and Canada would last 13 minutes each.

Likewise, international media report that other artists who could appear at the football festival are: J Balvin, the Brazilian Anitta, the Venezuelan Danny Ocean, the Palestinian-Chilean artist Elyanna and Vegedream from France, as well as the Canadians Jessie Reyez, Nora Fatehi and William Prince.

These presences could be related to the special ceremonies being prepared to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States in the games to be played in Houston and Philadelphia on the 4th of July.

Shakira leads the 2026 FIFA World Cup anthem

This great revelation comes just a few hours after confirming the return of the singer Shakira as the important voice of the 2026 World Cup through her official song. This is the single “Dai Dai”, which is scheduled for release on May 14 on Spotify and Apple Song.

The Colombian presented a preview of the long-awaited song from her X, TikTok and Instagram accounts with a video in which the artist can be seen dancing to the rhythm of the song from the imposing Maracaná Stadium, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Along with a Latin rhythm that invites the public to dance, Shakira intones: “What once broke you, made you stronger” and “Here, in this place, you belong.”
