Disney cruise employees were arrested for child pornography crimes

Several Disney cruise employees were detained by Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents in connection with an investigation into child sexual exploitation cases, according to reports.

Media such as Selection and 10 News reported that CBP They detained 28 people after boarding eight cruise ships docked in San Diego between April 23 and 27.

“After boarding the vessels and interrogating 26 suspected crew members from the Philippines, one from Portugal and one from Indonesia, agents confirmed that 27 of the 28 subjects were involved in the receipt, possession, transportation, distribution or viewing of field subjects of child sexual exploitation or child pornography,” CBP stated in a statement released by both media.

The agency indicated that the detained people are being repatriated to their countries of origin.

“We have a zero-tolerance policy for this type of behavior and fully cooperate with authorities,” a Disney Cruise Line spokesperson told Other Folks.

While most of these people were not on our cruise line, those who were no longer work for the company.

10 News reported that a passenger aboard the Disney Magic recorded a video of agents arresting several ship employees.

“It wasn’t until they turned around that you could look at the back, where it says Customs and Border Protection, but it still said, you know, police or officer,” the passenger, Dharmi Mehta, told 10 News.
