The legal agreement reached by Blake Packed with life and Justin Baldoni It seems not to have been a sufficient remedy for their media dispute. Just days after the signing of said agreement, it was revealed that The actress filed a new motion with the court in which she requests to be declared a “victorious defendant” in the case, as well as the payment of their attorneys’ fees and other financial reparations.
According to the document recovered by Us Weekly, The 38-year-old celebrity hopes that the resolution will be recognized as a triumph for her desire and that she will be financially compensated “for the damage caused by the defamation action.” retaliatory action by the Wayfarer Parties against him.”
“Miss Packed with life respectfully requests a resolution recognizing her as a ‘victorious defendant’ and, as such, that you are entitled to your reasonable legal fees and costs for having successfully defended yourself in the litigation and punitive damages sufficient to deter the Wayfarer Parties from engaging in such conduct in the future,” the brief reads.
This request, according to Variety, would be covered by the Act to Protect Survivors from Instrumentalized Defamation Lawsuits. This law aims to protect victims of sexual abuse who face defamation lawsuits in retaliation for sharing their testimony.
The motion mentions that Blake Packed with life relied on that resource in September 2025, after Baldoni issued a defamation lawsuit that was dismissed by the court in June of the same year.
In a statement released by Variety magazine, One of the Packed with Life lawyers, Sigrid McCawley, explained that this movement also aims to set a legal precedent for other survivors. who face defamation lawsuits as an instrument of retaliation.
