Almost seven years after he was found dead in a cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center, located in Manhattan, New York, Part of the content of an alleged note written by financial magnate Jeffrey Epstein before committing suicide was published.
The 66-year-old New Yorker remained detained accused of managing a sex trafficking ring with dozens of minors and was awaiting the start of a trial where his fate would be defined.
The web of relationships he wove with his accomplice and ex-partner Ghislaine Maxwell includes millionaires, politicians and even members of European royalty.who currently try to distance themselves from them at all costs to avoid dirtying their names.
For years, Epstein acted with impunity, since the girls he exploited were destined for influential people whose power and relationships prevented them from putting him in prison.
However, the luck that surrounded him for much of his life one day expired and his financial empire and power relations collapsed.
The controversial thing about his case is that he left an archive of documents, images and videos where very important people appear allegedly linked to the shady services he offered to access young girls, who at the time had not even reached the age of majority.
The delicate thing about the matter is that the vast majority of the files indicated continue without holding those with the financial capacity or power responsible for the crimes committed by Epstein.
Recently, the newspaper New York Times released a note, which had remained sealed for yearswhich was declassified by the judge in the criminal case of Epstein’s cellmate.
Part of the text allegedly written by the sex offender indicates that, at that time, the authorities lacked evidence to convict him even though he was already in prison.
“They investigated me for months… THEY FOUND NOTHING!!! It is a pleasure to be able to choose the moment to say goodbye,” he mentioned.
The rest of his words also project a serenity that cools the nerves, since no sign of fear is detected in him before committing suicide.
“What do you want me to do? I start to cry!! “IT’S NOT FUN, IT’S NOT WORTH IT!!,” he said..
