Armando González is one of the great figures of Mexican soccer. The Chivas de Guadalajara forward has been compared on several occasions to Lamine Yamal. The “Ant” acknowledged his admiration for the FC Barcelona forward. But his tastes are directed on the whole “Colchonero”.
In an interview with Sport, Armando González was asked about Lamine Yamal. Both are young players who have dazzled their teams despite their young age. The “Ant” would be delighted to play with him at FC Barcelona.
“I think it’s one of the best in the world right now.and what he does week after week is incredible. I would like to have him as a partner. I think being able to play with the best in the world is one of my goals, and Lamine Yamal is one of them.“So if God gives me the fortune to be able to play with him, it will be something very nice,” said the Mexican forward.

Armando González spoke about the greatness of FC Barcelona. The Chivas de Guadalajara forward remembered that set of Josep Guardiola who made the world fall in love. González also gave credit to Hansi Flick’s process. I would appreciate playing for this club.
“Barça is one of the best teams in history. For me, Guardiola’s team is legendary, and what they are doing now with Hansi Flick is also very important. Any player wants to get there. If it happens, I would be very grateful,” acknowledged the Mexican national team attacker.
Despite having praised FC Barcelona a few times, Armando González revealed that he identifies more with the competitive spirit of Diego Pablo Simeone and Atlético de Madrid. TOFurthermore, the “Ant” explained that since he was little he was closely linked to the “Colchonero” team through his father, Luis Armando González.
“My father spent some time in Madrid and brought things from Atlético to my brother and me… Also, I like Cholo Simeone’s style: dedication, fight, never give up, go game by game”, revealed the Chivas forward.
