Five people died after an aircraft crash that occurred over the weekend in the state of Texasaccording to local authorities.
The accident took place in the 200 block of Spherical Rock Side motorway, in the town of Wimberley, where emergency teams responded after receiving the report of the impact, according to FOX 7 Austin.
Identified aircraft and first hypotheses
According to reports, the plane involved was identified as a Cessna 421C that was carrying five occupants. All were pronounced deceased at the scene.
Preliminary investigations indicate that The aircraft was traveling at high speed before crashing. So far, no evidence has been found to suggest a mid-air collision.
The authorities reported that A second aircraft that was flying over the area managed to land without problems. at the Novel Braunfels airport, which rules out, for now, a multiple aerial event.
The National Transportation Security Board (NTSB) is leading the accident investigation, in coordination with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
Both agencies are working to determine the causes of the incident and evaluate possible technical or human factors.
Until now, Authorities have not released the names of the victimssince the notification processes to their relatives continue.
