The Venezuelan actress and model Alicia Machado surprised by revealing some of the challenges she has faced in her role as a single mother. According to her testimony, she has had to ask the authorities and social workers for help regarding her daughter’s behavior.
The unexpected confession occurred during his time on the program “Desiguales”, hosted by Adamari López, Karina Banda, Migbelis Castellanos, Amara La Negra and Dr. Nancy. In one of the segments of the interview, the Venezuelan revealed the measures she has taken to combat some of her daughter Dinorah’s behavior, including a call to 911.
And like any mother, She has faced some episodes of rebellion that have led her to seek the support of social workers: “I have done it, I have called social workers at some point for attitudes, with social networks they also fall into these things that you don’t know,” he said.
In this sense, she declared: “As a single mother who has had to raise a Latina teenage daughter in this country, I have done it and that is how I have maintained and managed to raise my daughter. Don’t be afraid of them. I haven’t minded being Alicia Machado and having to call 911 and say: ‘Look, gentlemen, my daughter doesn’t obey me, my daughter ran away, my daughter left without my permission.’ I have done it and nothing happens, that is what the authorities are for.”
Fortunately, Alicia Machado has felt protected by the system to contain the situation: “It is one of the great things that the United States has (…) The issue with minors is enormous and we do have a lot of help,” he added.
Despite the moments of uncertainty that she has experienced during the teenage years of her daughter Dinorah, who is currently 18 years old, the famous woman remains very proud of the person she has become.
This message was clear in the Instagram post he dedicated to the young woman last June: “I am so blessed that you are my daughter. You are the best thing I have and the only thing that has made all the battles worth it: to see you smile and see you happy,” she said at the time.
