Who is Meenu Batra?
With more than 20 years of experience, Batra is a certified court interpreter and is fluent in languages such as Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu.skills that have been required in different parts of the United States. He has resided in the country for approximately 35 years.
Born in India, Batra fled to the United States after the murder of her parents due to his Sikh religion. In the year 2000 obtained an immigration status known as “suspension of deportation”which prevents her from being sent to her country of origin for fear of persecution.

Despite the release, the defense stressed that the loyal process continues.
“We have managed to get her out, but now it is about keeping her in the country, ensuring that all her protection requests are resolved and opposing any attempt to send her to a third country with which she has no ties,” Ahluwalia said.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) had previously called Batra an “illegal immigrant” and maintained that employment authorization does not equate to loyal status. So far, the agency has not commented on the court order for release.
Batra’s relatives, including his children Amrita, Lucas, Aaryan and Jasperhad expressed that their absence affected the atmosphere in their home near Brownsville, Texas.
Upon her release, her lawyer indicated that the detention experience had a significant emotional and psychological impact on her.
