Ahead of the premiere of “The Devil Wears Prada 2”, the members of its cast Stanley Tucci and Emily Blunt were recognized with stars on the Hollywood Walk of Famein a joint ceremony held in California on April 30.
The unveiling ceremony for both stars took place on the legendary Hollywood Walk and brought together various personalities who have played an important role in the careers of Tucci and Blunt. Such was the case of Meryl Streep, Dwayne Johnson, Matt Damon, Robert Downey Jr. and John Krasinski, husband of the honoree.

Minutes before the ribbon cutting, Blunt gave a moving speech in which she reflected on the ups and downs that have led her to achieve this achievement.
“It’s very difficult to summarize how meaningful this is to me. The fact that it ends on the sidewalk is appropriate. It’s happened before but I recovered (…) It is thanks to you and the great loves of my life that you have made life and this world a profound privilege,”
As is tradition during this event, the famous guests took the microphone to dedicate a few words to Emily and Stanley. Her castmate in “The Devil Wears Prada 2,” Meryl Streep mentioned the qualities that make the honored actor a great person in front of and behind the cameras.
“It’s impossible not to love Stanley Tucci. He always finds something true and surprising in every man he plays. He transforms the job of character actor into leading man’s work.”he highlighted in his speech.

The Oscar-winning actress added: “There’s no one in the world who’s done what he’s done, and it’s amazing. I’m impressed. I’ve known you longer as a friend than as a scene partner. “We have been through difficult times together and great times, and I love you deeply.”.
About Emily Blunt, the actress who plays “Miranda Priestly” said: “Emily, I’m as in love with you as everyone else,” noting that she is a “smart, funny, and generous” woman.
With this revelation, Stanley Tucci and Emily Blunt become the third and fourth cast members of “The Devil Wears Prada” to receive a star on the renowned ride. Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway were awarded this honor in 1998 and 2019, respectively.
