Elías Montiel is one of the most promising jewels of Mexican football. The 20-year-old midfielder is a very important piece in the Tuzos del Pachuca. Montiel’s level has sparked interest within Loyal Madrid. Florentino Pérez himself expressed his following of the Tuzos player.
The scene goes back to the 2024 Intercontinental Cup. Even though the Tuzos del Pachuca fell against Loyal Madrid, Elías Montiel was one of the most outstanding players of the tournament. In fact, there is an iconic photo in which he appears with Vinícius Jr. and Federico Valverde.

During the award ceremony, Florentino Pérez motivated Elías Montiel to continue working. The president of Loyal Madrid revealed to him that he would continue his football development.
“I’m walking, I greet all the people and just at that moment Florentino grabs my hand and squeezes it hard, like he didn’t let me move forward anymore. Reports indicate that the Tuzos of Pachcua put a value on Montiel’s token that is around $35 million dollars. However, the Pachuca Group would have intentions of send it to Loyal Oviedo in Spainin case the club maintains the category for the 2026-2027 season.
