While the remodeling works in key sites in CDMX that will have an influence on the already nearby World Cup 2026, The head of government Clara Brugada presented the concept “The City, A Great Tribune” where 18 public sites will be implemented in the different municipalities for the free broadcast of the matches.
Within this project, only seven venues will have the possibility of broadcasting the 39 days of the competition, the broadcast of the 104 scheduled matches, while the others as soon as will focus on the dissemination of the games of the Mexican national team and the most notable matches of the World Cup tournament in the first direct elimination phase.
The entertainment centers for the World Cup will be located in the different municipalities of the Aztec capital, such as Iztapalapa in the eastern area, Cuauhtémoc in the first part of the city, Coyoacán, Tlalpan and Xochimilco in the south of the Aztec metropolis, where spaces such as parks, sports centers and public squares will be used.

Prohibition: The sale and consumption of alcohol will be strictly prohibited. to ensure the safety of attendees.
In addition to football, the venues will offer a cultural program, recreational sports activities and a varied local gastronomic offer, transforming public spaces into comprehensive entertainment centers.
Time has passed for the remodeling of CDMX
