A Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department deputy was arrested Friday night after being accused of multiple sex crimes. against a minor in different locations in the state of Massachusetts.
The suspect, identified as Richard Kielczweski, 41, faces charges including aggravated rape of a minor, human trafficking for sexual exploitation and production of child abuse field cloth, the Halifax Police Department said in a statement.
Coordinated investigation between agencies
The accusations cover events that occurred in Hanson, Halifax and Middleborough, according to authorities.
The investigation was led by the Halifax Police Department, whose team of detectives collected enough evidence to request an arrest warrant. The capture operation was carried out in conjunction with police forces from Hanson and Middleborough.
According to official reports, the Detainee faces multiple charges in Hansons, among them, payment for sexual conduct with a minor, aggravated rape of a minor with an age difference of more than ten years, rape with use of force, exhibition of a minor in sexual acts and trafficking of persons under 18 years of age.
In Middleborough, he is charged with additional crimes such as witness intimidation and child grooming, while in Halifax he faces new allegations of rape and sexual exploitation.
Disciplinary measures and institutional reaction
The official had joined the department as a correctional officer in 2015 and remained active until February of this year.
After his arrest, The organization announced its indefinite suspension and described the allegations as “extremely serious and disturbing.”
