The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) investigates the disappearance of Hispanic driver Alejandro Jacomino Gonzalez, 41 years oldwho was last seen on April 17 at a rest area on I-95 in Brevard County, between Florida and Georgia.

The truck driver arrived at the stopping point in the town of Grant-Valkaria around 1:21 a.m., where he remained for several hours, according to a statement from the FBI office in Tampa.

Irregular vehicle movements

The authorities indicated that, at 7:49 am, the truck resumed its march towards the south, took an exit and later changed direction towards the north, a behavior that has been considered unusual within the investigation.

Shortly after these movements, the driver became unresponsive and the vehicle was reported missing.

The truck was later located in Port Wentworth on April 17. However, the driver was not at the scene.

The authorities confirmed that several of the transported vehicles had disappeared. So far, three of them have been recovered in Florida, while others remain unaccounted for.

Transportation route and operation

According to the FBI, the driver had picked up multiple vehicles on April 16 at the Port of Brunswick, with a final destination in the city of Miami.

The case is being treated as a suspicious disappearance, with the hypothesis of a possible kidnapping or cargo theft still under evaluation.

The FBI described González as a man 1.80 meters tall and weighing approximately 90 kilograms. He has a bald head, a brown beard and mustache, brown eyes and multiple tattoos, including one with the word “Elisia” on his right forearm.

Call for citizen collaboration

Authorities requested the collaboration of the public, especially those who have been in the Grant-Valkaria rest area between 1:00 and 8:00 in the morning of April 17 and can provide relevant images or information.

The case remains under investigation while attempts are made to clarify the whereabouts of the driver and recover all of the missing cargo.
