This week, through a statement, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced to consumers about recall of Bette’s Bake Sale chocolates due to an ingredient not declared on the packaging that could cause an allergic reaction.
According to details from the health agency, the chocolates come from the manufacturer French Immense Chocolates PBC, based in North Carolina, and They have been sold in several retail chains in boxes of 6, 12 and 24 units.
According to the manufacturer, The labeling error was reported on April 20, indicating that the labels on the boxes of the pecan pie and pecan pie chocolates are swapped.
The statement highlights which products are being withdrawn from the market with their lot numbers:
- Bette’s Bake Sale 6-Piece Pack, 2.5 Ounce. Lot 260414 / June 29, 2026; lot 260417 / June 30, 2026.
- Bette’s Cake Bundle, 12-Piece Pack, 5 Ounce. Lot 260414 / June 22, 2026 Lot 260417 / June 30, 2026
- Bette’s Cake Bundle, 24-Piece Pack, 10 Ounces. Lot 260414 / June 29, 2026; lot 260417 / June 30, 2026.
Finally, The FDA recommends not consuming the product if you are allergic to nuts and instead discarding it or returning it to the store where you purchased it for a refund.
