As the situation tries to return to normal in Washington, little by little, more information emerges regarding the subject who detonated a firearm on several occasions during the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, an event where President Donald Trump was, who immediately had to be evacuated by the Secret Service.

At the beginning of a thorough investigation by the authorities, a source cited by the chain cnnrevealed that the suspect responds to the name of Cole Tomas Allen, is 31 years old and a resident of Torrance, a suburb of Los Angeles., California.

According to Jeffery Carroll, acting chief of police in Washington, DC, the subject in question was carrying several weapons when he “attacked” a Secret Service checkpoint.

He was armed with a shotgun, a pistol and several knives. While he was running through the checkpoint, United States Secret Service agents intercepted him,” he said in an interview with press representatives.

The official also mentioned that one of the reasons why the subject in question had the opportunity to leak firearms without being detected was because he may have been staying at the Washington Hilton, headquarters of the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.

We believe he was a guest of this resort. “We have secured a room at the resort and, as always, will follow appropriate procedures to determine what was inside.”

In this regard, Jeanine Pirro, federal prosecutor for the District of Columbia, noted that the suspect remains detained and He will face two charges: use of a firearm during a violent crime and assault on a federal agent with a dangerous weapon.

“Based on what we know so far, it is clear that this individual intended to cause as much harm as possible.

Fortunately, thanks to the checkpoint just outside the ballroom where thousands of people were gathered to listen to the president, no one was hurt when it became clear where this defendant was going,” he said.

Initially, there was information indicating that the suspect had been killed by the Secret Service, but Jeffery W. Carroll, acting chief of the Metropolitan Police Department, clarified that, although he was being treated at a clinic, he did not have any gunshot wounds.

This way, It is expected that it will not be until Monday when the Californian appears before a judge to determine his correct situation.
