A new video released shows the aggressor of the armed attack in the archaeological zone of Teotihuacán moments before opening fire on tourists, providing more details about how the events unfolded.

According to information published by the weekly Proceso, the images were captured by one of the visitors and allow the subject to be observed while he tours the area.

In the video, recorded in 360 degree format, He is seen climbing the pyramid and positions himself before starting the attack. A witness told the aforementioned media that the individual “passes in front of us” and then stands in a corner to prepare.

The audiovisual fabric joins other records that document the aggressor’s journey prior to the shooting, showing that moved relatively freely before shooting.

The attack occurred on April 20 at the Pyramid of the Moon, where he opened fire on visitors, leaving a Canadian tourist dead and at least 13 people injured.

The new images reinforce the reconstruction of the events and have raised questions about the security conditions in one of the most important tourist sites in the country, especially due to the ease with which the aggressor was able to move and prepare before the attack.

Authorities continue with the investigations while surveillance protocols in archaeological zones are reviewed after this event that had an international impact.
