Carlos Reinoso analyzed the process of Javier Aguirre. The former América footballer supported the “Vasco” project. Reinoso believes that the Mexican strategist has a clear idea of his approach in El Tri.
“Aguirre showed that he has a clear idea for the 2026 World Cup and I think that Mexico with Javier, God grant that I am not mistaken, will do very well,” Reinoso said for Heraldo Deportes.
Carlos Reinoso saw good approaches from Javier Aguirre in Mexico’s last games. Against serious rivals like Portugal and Belgium, Reinoso was left with good feelings by El Tri’s performance.
“I would hope that Aguirre continues with that squad with which he faced Portugal and Belgium because he has good rhythm variations, he knows how to defend and attack”he added.

“Vasco” took over the reins of the Mexican team in July 2024. Since then, Javier Aguirre has directed 26 games on the El Tri bench. Aguirre maintains a record of 14 wins, 8 draws and 4 losses.
Mexico has only lost one game in its last eight games. The balance is four draws and three defeats. The most positive thing about El Tri is its defensive aspect. They have kept a clean sheet in five of those games.
