A woman identified as Alejandra Estefanía “N” She was arrested in the state of Sonora after a coordinated operation between Mexican authorities and Interpol, because she was wanted by the United States for her alleged participation in fentanyl and weapons trafficking crimes.
According to reports, the capture took place in the municipality of Nogales, where elements of the Ministerial Prison Investigation Agency (AMIC), together with Interpol Mexico, managed to locate and capture her.
The detained He had a valid extradition order to the United States.
The US authorities point her out as allegedly responsible for crimes related to the trafficking of fentanyl – a highly dangerous synthetic drug – as well as arms trafficking and criminal association.
The operation was the result of intelligence work and international collaboration, which allowed him to be located in Sonora territory when he was traveling aboard a truck.
After her arrest, the woman was placed at the disposal of the corresponding authorities, waiting for her extradition process to be defined.
This case is part of the binational efforts between Mexico and the United States to combat the trafficking of synthetic drugs, particularly fentanyl, considered one of the main public health problems in the region.
