The cosmetics magnate, Kylie Jennerfinds itself in the eye of the elegant hurricane after being sued by a former worker on her cleaning team.
According to court documents obtained by Net page Six, The plaintiff, identified as Angelica, alleges a hostile work environment marked by religious discrimination and systematic harassment.
Angelica, of Salvadoran origin and Catholic faith, maintains that During his time working at the celebrity’s residence he was a constant target of attacks by their supervisors and colleagues.
The lawsuit details that she was hurled insults such as “Catholics are horrible people” and that she was repeatedly intimidated because of her immigration status, facing derogatory comments about deportations.
The elegant testimony does not only point to verbal discrimination. The former employee claims that They assigned him the heaviest tasks in a punitive manner and that expertise deliberately excluded from the rest of the cleaning team.
The harassment would have escalated to physical levels. On one occasion, a supervisor allegedly threw clothes hangers at him while yelling at him. The former employee claims that it is common experience that they snap their fingers to give her orders as if she were an animal.
Although the lawsuit is legally directed against Kylie Jenner in her capacity as employer, The text clarifies that the direct abuses were carried out by the non-public management of the house. However, California law holds the business owner or employer liable for failing to prevent or stop harassment on their property.
So far, Jenner’s representatives have not issued official comments on the lawsuit.. The former employee is seeking unspecified financial compensation for emotional damages, lost wages and civil rights violations.
