During his visit to the La Corregidora Stadium, Cruz Azul tied 1-1 with the Gallos Blancos de Querétaro. “La Maquina” continues to extend its negative streak under the command of Nicolás Larcamón. The memes made fun of Cruz Azul’s new slip in Liga MX.
Everything seemed to indicate that it would be a calm duel for Cruz Azul. At minute 9 of the game, Ángel Jeremy Márquez scored 0-1 to the preference of the visiting team. But Márquez went from hero to villain. At forty five+2 he would score an own goal that would give Querétaro the tie.
But this equality would still be under a cloak of doubts. From the Gallos Blancos of Querétaro they announce a possible improper alignment by Cruz Azul. The problem arises with the presence of physician Pablo Arriaga on the coaching staff. Arriaga would not be on the official lineup sheet of the Cementero team.
In this sense, Cruz Azul could lose this match at the table. The penalty for an improper lineup is the defeat of the match in question by a score of 0-3.
With the sanction, or not, Cruz Azul reaches nine consecutive games without being able to win. The bad streak of “La Maquina” began on March 15 against the UNAM Pumas (2-2 away), but has continued to date: 1-1 draw with Monterrey, 1-1 draw with Mazatlán, 1-2 defeat with Pachuca, 3-0 loss against Los Ángeles FC, 1-1 draw with Membership América, 1-1 draw against Los Ángeles FC, 1-1 draw with the Xolos de Tijuana and the recent draw against Querétaro.
Cruz Azul only has one game left before the new phase of Clausura 2026 ends. The last duel of the Cementero team will be on Monday, April 27 against Rayos del Necaxa at the Banorte Stadium.
