With this decision, Switzerland joins Poland, France and the United Kingdom on the list of nations that have canceled or postponed the musician’s performances.

In the British case, the situation has been more drastic, even prohibiting their entry into the country because it is considered that their presence does not benefit the public good.

The widespread rejection responds to Ye’s recent recordmarked by the publication of images of swastikas on social networks, statements of admiration for Hitler and the release of songs with Nazi apology titles.

Although The artist has publicly apologized, attributing his actions to a mental health crisis and his bipolar disorder.European authorities and promoters maintain a zero-tolerance stance.

Despite the closures in these four countries, West’s agenda still includes dates in Spain, Italy, Portugal, the Netherlands and Turkey, although the future of these performances remains under the uncertainty of public scrutiny.
