The president of the United States, Donald Trump, announced this Sunday that His special envoys travel to Pakistan for a second round of negotiations tomorrow Monday with Iranwhom he accused of violating the right ceasefire and threatened to destroy bridges and power plants if they do not accept a peace agreement.

Iran decided to fire yesterday in the Strait of Hormuz: a total violation of our ceasefire agreement! Many of the shots were directed at a French ship and a United Kingdom cargo ship. That wasn’t good, was it? My representatives are going to Islamabad, Pakistan. They will be there tomorrow night to negotiate,” he said on his Truth Social network.

The US president insisted that they are offering Tehran a “very fair and reasonable agreement” and that he hopes they accept it “because, if they don’t, the United States is going to destroy every power plant and every bridge in Iran. No more being the good guy!”, he warned.

“They will fall fast, they will fall easily, and if they do not accept the deal, it will be my honor to do what needs to be done – something other presidents should have done to Iran over the last 47 years. It’s time to put an end to Iran’s killing machine!“he emphasized.

In his long message, Trump also mentioned that it is “strange” that Iran says it once again interrupted passage through the Strait of Hormuz.a strategic route for crude oil and goods at the center of tension during this period of truce between both countries, because the US naval blockade of the Iranian coasts “has already closed it.”

“They are helping us without knowing it, and they are the ones who lose by closing the door: 500 million dollars a day! The US does not lose anything. In fact, many ships are heading, right now, to the United States, to Texas, Louisiana and Alaska, to load up, courtesy of the Revolutionary Guard, who always want to be ‘the tough guys‘”, wrote.

This Sunday, the Islamabad authorities imposed a security blockade in the Pakistani capital, which includes the closure of the main arteries, the suspension of public transport and the eviction order in the main luxury hotels before the resumption of talks between Washington and Tehran.

The second round of dialogue will take place after a first meeting without results in the Pakistani city and three days before the technical ceasefire between Washington and Tehran expires on April 22.

Trump stated the day before that Iran does not have what it takes to pressure his government and highlighted the “positive conversations” they have with Tehran.

The president announced on Friday that he might not extend the right ceasefire when the deadline expires if a peace agreement is not reached and warned that bombing of Iranian targets could resume. He had previously said in an interview with Axios that he hoped to reach an agreement with Iran within one or two days.” EFE
